We now cater to a growing and thriving community of freedivers, travellers and creatives who have found a second home in Anilao,Mabini, Batangas 🌊
Lakbay Freediving was born in its first year from a quiet but powerful curiosity—what if we stayed longer underwater, not just to dive, but to truly understand the ocean? With limited resources but endless passion, it began with unfamiliar faces, early morning drives, borrowed gear, and endless questions. Every descent was uncertain, every session a learning curve, but beneath that uncertainty was something undeniable: a connection to the water that kept pulling us back. There were no guarantees, no structure yet—just raw passion, shared trust, and the ocean as our only teacher. Each dive was not about depth or performance, but about discovery, learning how to be comfortable in discomfort, and finding peace in the unknown.
In our second year, that quiet curiosity slowly turned into consistency. The same small circle began to show up more often, no longer as strangers but as dive buddies bound by experience and repetition. Mistakes were constant, but so was growth. What once felt intimidating became familiar, and what once felt like a challenge became a shared rhythm. Anilao, Mabini, Batangas started to feel less like a destination and more like a routine return to something meaningful. The ocean was no longer just a place to visit—it became a place to understand ourselves better.
By the third year, Lakbay Freediving evolved beyond personal exploration into something more collective. Freedivers, travellers, and creatives naturally found their way into the group, drawn by the energy of shared passion and calm purpose. Sessions became more structured, safety became more intentional, and learning became mutual. We started documenting not just dives, but stories—moments of silence, struggle, progress, and connection. The ocean became both playground and classroom, where every descent carried meaning and every surface interval held conversation. Lakbay was no longer just about diving deeper; it was about creating a space where people could slow down, reconnect, and grow together.
Now in our fourth year, Lakbay has naturally expanded into a living community of freedivers, travellers, and creatives who now call Anilao, Mabini, Batangas their second home. The energy has shifted from small beginnings to something more established—where new and returning divers meet, share, and grow within the same space. What once felt like a personal pursuit has become a collective rhythm shaped by different stories, backgrounds, and reasons for being underwater. Lakbay now stands as a meeting point for people who seek both adventure and meaning in the ocean, carrying forward everything built in the years before into something deeper, more connected, and continuously alive.
At Lakbay, our mission is to create meaningful underwater experiences that go beyond diving. We aim to build a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where freedivers can learn, explore, connect and grow with confidence. Every session is guided by respect—for the ocean, for safety, and for every individual’s journey in the water.
Lakbay is more than just diving—it’s a growing community of freedivers, travellers, and creatives who share a deep appreciation for the ocean. Here, people connect through shared experiences, socialize beyond the water, and support each other’s growth both in and out of the sea. It is a space where divers can learn together, share stories, and build genuine friendships rooted in passion for the ocean.
More than anything, Lakbay is a place where people can truly express themselves with freedom—without judgment, without pressure, and with full respect for individuality and shared connection.
We are committed to safety, quality instruction, and environmental responsibility. Every dive is conducted with proper briefing, safety protocols, and respect for marine life. We believe that freediving is not just a sport, but a way to build awareness, connection and discipline.
